ABOUT
Sandy Taylor
As a native of Tallahassee and 5th generation Floridian, Sandy has a deep-rooted passion for Florida and its future. Her family is steeped in service going back generations and it is through these influences that Sandy was inspired to engage in the political process that shapes the future of our country. She is now going on two decades of experience working towards that very end.
After graduating from Florida State University with a double-major in English Literature and Political Science, Sandy first stepped into the chambers of the Florida Capitol serving then-Senate Majority Leader Daniel Webster as a Policy Analyst in the Florida Senate Majority office. She went on to cut her teeth in political fundraising by accepting a position as Director of Candidate Fundraising with the Republican Party of Florida, Senate Campaigns, at which time she was responsible for raising campaign funds for all nine Senate incumbents up for re-election in the 2008 election cycle. At the request of then-Senate President Designate Jeff Atwater, Sandy moved to Palm Beach County and served as Atwater’s Campaign Manager in what was a key race in the 2008 cycle. Upon a victorious campaign, Sandy moved back home to Tallahassee and served then Senate President Atwater as the Director of External Communications via an arm of the Senate President's office. Here she enjoyed her passion for writing and communications, but quickly realized she missed the high paced excitement of campaigns. In late 2007, Sandy stepped back into fundraising at the encouragement of two important mentors in her career. The rest is history having now worked with over 50 state-level campaigns and political committees raising an aggregate of nearly $100million dollars for Republicans and various causes in Florida. Sandy resides in her home town, Tallahassee, with her husband and two children. Her passions outside of politics include raising her kiddos, horseback riding, caring for her horses and weekends at St. Teresa Beach.
